Meeting H.E the Provincial Governor of Tboung Khmum

Yesterday, the 28th of March, Khemara and its partner The Coalition for Partnership in Democratic Development (CPDD) met with the Provincial Governor of Tboung Khmum H.E. Cheam Chansophorn.

During the meeting, CPDD and Khemara presented their projects "Promoting the Transparent and Accountable Management of Local Funds in Cambodia" that will be implemented from March 2024 to May 2025, in Tboung Khmum Province, in 6 communes of Ou Reang Ov District and in 6 communes of Tboung Khmum District.

This project aims to reach rural populations, focusing on the most vulnerable such as the disabled, women and members of the Cham minority.

Our goal is to promote inclusion and participation of the most vulnerable in the accountability and economic management of their respective communities.

Khemara's staff attended the meeting, represented by our Executive Director Ms. Koy Pallany, Program Officer Ms. Roeung Sopanha along with Khemara's international interns Camille Chaillol and Anaelle Andrier.

CPDD's Executive Director Mr. Son Penh, accompanied by the MEAL Manager of CPDD Ms. Setha Sum and CPDD Programme Manager Mr. Lor Kimsrauv, joined us for the presentation.

Khemara is now looking forward to see our collaborative project with CPDD come to life and achieve our goals for a Cambodian society in which all civilians can participate in decision-making.
